An animated film about the wilderness around us, between us and within us.
SYNOPSIS
Two men have completely charted the world between them. There are no more blank spots on their maps.
Everything is clear and safe. Then something inexplicable happens: the measuring and communication devices between the two produce incomprehensible disturbances – a wind that brings unrest. It is unsettling, but there is still a connection. Until the wind grows into a storm, until one of them can no longer interpret or even recognize the signals of the other, the equipment is destroyed, and all lines of communication are broken. In addition, even the hinterland becomes a threat, there is nothing left to hold on to, the maps fly around and the landscape starts to move. Then there is silence.
The one speaking also calms down and gradually gains his orientation within himself. Communication without devices begins as he starts to explore his inner wilderness in the midst of the outer wilderness. New Maps emerge – maps of feelings, of memories, of constantly changing life. Movement becomes a fixed point and communication begins in one’s own resonance.

Ein animierter Film über die Wildnis um uns, zwischen uns und in uns.
SYNOPSIS
1821. Es ist geschafft: Das Gebiet zwischen zwei Bergen ist komplett vermessen, die Wildnis draußen in ein übersichtliches System gebracht. Gerade als der Kartograph seine Messgeräte beiseite legt bemerkt er jedoch, dass diese sich ungewöhnlich zu verhalten beginnen. Draußen kommt ein Sturm auf und die Kommunikation mit dem Kollegen auf der anderen Seite bricht ab. Ohne die Hilfe seiner Geräte und Berechnungen muss der Kartograph nun Halt und Orientierung in sich selbst und seiner inneren Wildnis finden.
